James 5:16

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6-7
“Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there’s still time to change the road you’re on”.
Led Zeppelin, Stairway to Heaven 1971
Our Program
“Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path. Those who do not recover are people who cannot or will not Completely give themselves to this simple program, usually men who are constitutionally incapable of being honest with themselves”.
How it Works, AA Big Book

We are based out of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY

In the year 2000, our founder, Phill Drake, and the then-head pastor of Southeast Christian Church, Bob Russell, met to discuss creating a new group aimed at helping men address sexual addiction. That group was named ARC- Addicts Redeemed by Christ. Phill quickly enlisted a few other men to assist him in facilitating their Saturday morning meetings at Southeast. By 2006, we initiated a second meeting on Thursday nights, which, although utilizing the same materials, took on the gentler name “Men’s Healthy Sexuality. ” As the years progressed, a Tuesday night group also emerged. Like many organizations, when the COVID shutdowns occurred, ARC struggled to remain operational. We shifted to Zoom meetings to allow our members to continue connecting on the same days and nights as we had in our classrooms. Once the COVID shutdowns ended, we returned to our classroom meetings while also maintaining a couple of the Zoom sessions to accommodate the new members we had gained from other states and even other countries.
In January 2022, ARC rebranded as CROSS- Christians Redeemed of Sexual Sin. We now have approximately 600 members and 12 weekly meetings (3 via Zoom and 9 in classrooms). While we are still based in Louisville, KY, we also hold classroom meetings in Elizabethtown, KY, LaGrange, KY, Corydon, IN, and New Albany, IN. We currently have two dozen volunteer facilitators who have gone through the program and stayed to mentor others, as iron sharpens iron.

CROSS Goes to Prison!
Dale Colyer has been with CROSS since January 2007 and has been involved in prison ministry since 2009. He has spent many hours ministering to Kentucky inmates in multiple prisons. Over the years, while sharing his testimony at these institutions, inmates often asked Dale if it would be possible to start a CROSS group there. After some finagling, Dale and three other facilitators started the first-ever “CROSS behind walls” group at the Luther Luckett Correctional Complex in LaGrange, Kentucky, in February 2025. A large majority of the inmate population there have committed sex crimes and are in desperate need of recovery work. Dale, Rick, and Wayne meet with the inmates every Tuesday night, and the men are extremely appreciative to have their own CROSS meeting.

Saved My Marriage
In 2007 I was lost and in such a dark place. My sexual addiction had already cost me my job and was about to cost me my marriage. CROSS changed everything. Now I’m 18 years sober and still married. My past turmoil became my current testimony. Thank You Jesus.

Half Measures Avail Us Nothing
March of 2018 I opened the door to my home and was served a search warrant. All of our electronics were taken except my wife’s I-phone. I had been attending CROSS since 2011 but had not found a sponsor and tried to work the step on my own. I found out that ‘half measures avail us nothing” (from the AA big book). Now I have worked the 12steps with a sponsor and have become a facilitator. I also sponsor several men in working the 12 steps. If you take it seriously you too can find sobriety and recovery..
